To quote my grandmother, “I think someone has forgotten their manners.” It would be easy to go off on a rant about the disrespectful Congressman, the angry athlete or the scene-stealing rapper, but these people are not acting in a cultural vacuum. Of the most sinister plots to wreak terror and loss of lives in America, Al Qaeda has been responsible for the worst. What other possible plots lurk in these terrorists’ minds - and how can we expose them to save lives and our national security? In the 1950’s, the mentally retarded were among the most scorned, isolated and neglected groups in American Society. Mental retardation was viewed as a hopeless, shameful disease, and those afflicted with it were shunted from sight as soon as possible. Anyone who is physically disabled well understands the absolute need for wheelchair donations for similarly disabled persons. Unfortunately, many physically disabled persons are without proper resources to purchase the needed wheelchairs and assistance. So how can we help?
